December 2013

Last month I was invited by my friend to attend a cooking class organized by the school dell'EDFA (National Floral Decoration for Amateurs ) where I got this recipe that I recommend you try .

I take this opportunity to thank this association that organizes cultural courses about floral decoration .

Lemon cake home Monda

500 g ricotta

300 g of sugar

3 egg yolks

3 egg whites

4 lemon peel grated

A small glass of " limoncello " or " Witch "

We prepare all the ingredients. Beat with an electric whisk the egg whites and could keep them . With the same beaters ( thus contaminate less) work with the ricotta with the sugar until you no longer feel the texture of sugar. If desired we can also use sugar thinner. Add the egg yolks , lemon peels and liquor chosen . At the end of proceeding with a spatula, add the egg whites previously assembled , taking care not to remove them .

Foderiamo a baking sheet (good one we use for the pastiera ) shortbread helping with baking paper , fill with the mixture and coat it with another layer of pastry making sure to seal the edges well .

Bake at 200 ° for about 30 minutes . Halfway through cooking, we remove the cake from the oven and copriamolo pressing lightly with a damp towel ( this will prevent the mixture comes out ) , put ourselves in the oven and finish cooking.

Let cool thoroughly , we remove the cake from the pan and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
